Dating Part V - Sex →
In this post I have a moment to talk about everyone’s favourite subject - sex. It’s a topic everyone has questions about, and I try to answer a few of them here. I break down what sex is, how it can be seen, sex outside of marriage and give practical examples to safeguard your relationship’s holiness.

Dating Part IV - Love Is... →
From the blog itself -
“So here we are again in the dating series. Welcome to part 4, where I’ll be taking a slightly different form for the post – instead of coming up with points and ideas I want to get across, grabbing bits of scripture to back it up, I’ll be landing on one part of scripture and camping there.
Today we discuss what love is, how we show it and how it applies to us...

Dating Part III - The Ladies →
From the blog -
“Ok ladies, you patiently read through the previous post, directed to the guys, so now it’s your turn. You’ll find this post will take the same sort of structure and hit some of the same points as in the men’s post, but it will be from a different angle (i.e. hopefully yours). The tone will be different, the language and the examples will be different; not because I favour...

Interesting reading for any Christian man.
From the post itself - ”I’d like to preface this post by saying three things:-
Firstly, I have a heart for guys. There are few things better then seeing a Godly guy really working hard for Jesus and his family, his wife, or whatever. I also know that most male evangelicals are not masculine men who are easily respected. Because of this I have a real...

Dating post up on Heart of Corinth →
From the blog - “When I first started this blog I decided I wasn’t going to touch the topic of dating for some time. I thought it might be too touchy a topic and to tread carefully around it, feel it out (probably shouldn’t have said it that way).
I’ve changed my mind.Dating in the culture we live in has become so lost and, frankly, depraved that I felt it important to get this out onto the...

Nadal tumbles at quarters hurdle again
Rafael Nadal has once again been booted out of the Australian Open in the quarter-final round on account of his failing body. Ferrer, the 7th seed, will now go through to face the number 5 seed, Andy Murray.
As you can see, Rafa had a terrible performance and it lead to a fairly comfortable win for Ferrer, taking it 6-4 6-2 6-3. That’s not to take anything away from Ferrer, he...

Rafa in trouble
After a full medical time-out, Rafa loses his serve and requires the medical doctor out again. Never seen him look so slow and sluggish before. OR haunted, look at that haunted face…
He looks like he’s about to cry in this one…
I thought at first that it might be because of the virus he picked up in Doha, but he looks to have his left thigh or groin strapped up. Maybe...

Australian Open 2011, the top seeds
Yesterday the World number 1, Rafael Nadal, moved closer to reclaiming his 2009 Australian Open title, with a good win over Marin Cilic in the 4th round.
It was a clinical display as Nadal beat the Croat 6-2 6-4 6-3. He was wearing a flippin’ huge t-shirt though, I suppose that’s their solution to the sweat problem? Though to my knowledge he still changed shirt about 3-4...
An Atheist Professor of Philosophy was speaking to...
Professor: You are a Christian, aren’t you, son?
Student: Yes, sir.
Professor: So, you believe in God?
Student: Absolutely, sir.
Professor: Is God good?
Student: Sure.
Professor: My brother died of cancer, even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn’t. How is God good, then? Hmm?
(Student was silent)
Professor: You can’t answer, can you? Let’s start again, young fella. Is God good?
Student: Yes.
Professor: Is Satan good?
Student: No.
Professor: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From.. God.
Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student: Yes.
Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student: Yes.
Professor: So who created evil?
(Student didn’t answer)
Professor: Is there sickness? Immortality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?
Student: Yes, sir.
Professor: So, who created them?
(Student had no answer)
Professor: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son.. have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your God.
Student: No, sir.
Professor: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God, for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.
Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student: Yes.
Professor: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, Science says your God doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my Faith.
Professor: Yes, Faith. And that is the problem Science has.
Student: Professor, is there such a thing as Heat?
Professor: Yes.
Student: And is there such a thing as Cold?
Professor: Yes.
Student: No, sir, there isn’t.
(The Lecture Theatre became very quiet with this turn of events)
Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of Heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There was a pon-drop silence in the Lecture Theatre)
Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?
Student: You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light… But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and it’s called Darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, You would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?
Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student: Sir, my point is, your Philosophical Premise is flawed.
Professor: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student: Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality. You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Professor: If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes of course, I do.
Student: Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going)
Student: Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher?
(The class was in uproar)
Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?
(The class broke out into laughter)
Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? .. No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable and Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures?
(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable)
Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on Faith, son.
Student: That is it, sir.. exactly! The link between man and God is Faith. That is all that keeps things alive and moving!

Beautifully done.

Federer hits blip, then Quarters
Roger Federer, the former world number 1 and current world number 2, is through to the quarter-finals with a patchy win over Tommy Robredo.
Federer received another scare, not too long after his close-shave five setter with Gilles Simon, as he showed Robredo some very patchy form in the second set. The Swiss Maestro wrapped up the first set 6-3 with relative ease, but then allowed a lot of...

Rafa and Roger march on in Oz
Yesterday Roger Federer dispatched Xavier Malisse in 3 easy sets, the Swiss taking it 6-3 6-3 6-1. After a shaky 5 set display against Gilles Simon all eyes were on the Maestro, looking for chinks in the ice-cool armour. None were found in this match.
Federer and Malisse grew up on the tour together in the 90’s, but there was a gulf in class between the two evident in this...

Rafa Rampant in Australia
Having seen Roger Federer tested in his second round match, everyone was wondering how Nadal’s would turn out. Well, no such difficulties for the world number 1; Nadal beat US qualifier Ryan Sweeting aside, taking the match 6-2 6-1 6-1.
I didn’t get a chance to actually watch the match, my alarm going off at 1.30am was greeted with a sigh of “nah” before I...

Australian Open 2011 so far
Quick catch-up for you guys.
Yesterday Nadal came through his first round match again Daniel; the Brazilian retired as Nadal lead 6-0 5-0. The poor guy was just really out of sorts. Nadal will face Ryan Sweeting at about 1.30am tonight GMT so I might stay up for that.
Roger Federer today came through a very scary match against the unpredictable Frenchman, Gilles Simon. Federer coasted...

Australian Open, day 3
Not had a chance to blog much about the Australian Open, due to my being in England and the ridiculous time-difference meaning most of the good matches are between 1 and 7 am, but hopefully this will change over this coming weekend and week.
Getting to watch some Federer now though, and not sure what’s going on with him; he’s dropped his serve twice in a row after taking the first two...

Nadal powers through to semis
Nadal has just come through a good match against Ernest Gulbis, where he was entirely in command throughout.
Gulbis did really well to hang in with the first set, breaking back after being broken himself, but Nadal pulled into fifth gear towards the end of the second set and won with some impressive shot-making. The Spaniard took the match 7-6 6-3, and may play Davydenko in the next round...

Federer smashes Troicki
Roger Federer has just won his quarter-final match against the Serbian 6th seed, Viktor Troicki.
The Swiss maestro took the match 6-2 6-2 and never looked out of sorts, showing the Doha crowd the sublime tennis we’re all used to seeing from him.
I’m not sure yet who Roger will meet in the semis, but I think it will be Tsonga.

Nadal through to quarters in Doha
Rafael Nadal has won his match over an inspired opponent by the name of Lukas Lacko. The Slovakian played an amazing game, really taking the fight to Nadal and pulling out some incredible shots, seemingly from nowhere (no puns, please). The Spaniard even got served his first bagel set of the season, and (as far as I can remember) his tenth bagel set ever.
The powerful Spaniard bounced back to...

Federer hits Doha Quarters
The current world number 2, Roger Federer, has won his 2nd round match in Doha today, to advance to the quarter finals there. He beat fellow Swiss, Marco Chiudinelli, 7-6 7-5.
A somewhat up and down performance from Federer. The Swiss maestro showing some sublime shot-making, but that was intermingled with poor shot choices and sudden seeming lapses in energy. This was further exacerbated...

So this is what Rafa will be wearing.
The shoes are awesome. Look a little too much like the breath cage ones people like Berdych are wearing, and they’ve lost some of the badass-ness of the 2.1/2/3s, but they look so comfortable. They look ridiculously durable too. I very much like, and if they bring...
